Presentation Types:

Workshops (Wednesday 2 December only)

Workshops provide a longer period of time to explore an idea or finding and engage the audience in activity and discussion. To deliver a workshop, you must be able to attend the Workshop afternoon scheduled for Wednesday 2 December. We invite submissions for one of the following two types of workshops outlined below. In general, workshops will be of 40 mins in length. However, we may be able to accommodate a limited number of 80 minute workshops. Please indicate your preference when submitting your abstract:

  • NAEEA Special Interest Group Seed Grant workshops. NAEEA Special Interest Groups that were successful in attaining a NAEEA SIG Seed Grant 2025/26 are invited to deliver the findings of their projects in a workshop style presentation.
  • Other workshops. We invite any other workshop topics that align with the conference themes.

Showcase Presentation

The standard length of oral presentations will be 20 minutes for presentation plus five minutes for questions. The presentations will be grouped into topic-based sessions of about 90 minutes in length. Note: these are to be delivered in person only (no remote delivery).

Gallery Presentation

The gallery presentation is a visual display of practice in line with the conference themes. This presentation can take multiple formats such as a:

  • Poster presentation
  • Looping video presentation with closed captions (5 minutes maximum),
  • Physical artefact, or
  • Soapbox share: 5 minutes quick-fire opportunity to share an element of your practice without questions (limited spots)

It is preferable that authors be present during the gallery session to discuss their presentation and network with participants. However, we will accept a short video submission that can be played during this time if you cannot attend.
